From Beach Days to Back-to-School Days

Back-to-school season feels a little different on the Island—not with cool breezes or falling leaves, but with a familiar shift.

The mornings feel calmer, the beach crowd thins and the rhythm shifts from vacation mode to fresh starts. Parking gets a little easier, and the sound of seagulls slowly gives way to the sound of school buses warming up.

It’s a season of transition, where summer lingers and routines begin to return.

This time of year often brings checklists: new shoes, class schedules, lunchboxes, selecting a thoughtful gift for that favorite teacher, and yes—even vision checks.
