Melissa Mitchell: Creative Mentor, Business Strategist, Storyteller

Hi, I’m Melissa Mitchell—artist, entrepreneur, writer, and mentor. I wear a few different hats (and usually have paint on at least one of them).

My work lives at the intersection of storytelling, creativity, and strategy. Whether I’m mentoring artists, creating expressive coastal artwork, writing my weekly column The Art of Island Life, or developing tools for creative entrepreneurs—I’m always looking for ways to help others thrive.

Through my online courses and blog, I share lessons I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way), strategies that work, and stories that spark connection—because I believe success in the creative world comes not just from talent, but from courage, clarity, and community.

If something here sparks your courage, or inspires you to grow in new ways—I consider that a success.

Whether you’re here to grow your creative business or just pause for a story and a smile—I’m so glad you stopped by.
