This morning started a little slower than usual. Evoke is closed every Monday, so I generally use those days to catch up on paperwork and tackle the to-do list. This morning I found myself in the unusual place of having a slower agenda.

I stepped outside with my coffee and was met with the steady sound of rain—nothing heavy, just enough to settle the dust and quiet everything down. The kind of rain that gently changes the pace of the day.

The garden needed it. You could see it in the leaves, in the way everything seemed to soften and lift at the same time.

And I needed it too.

Those few quiet minutes before the day gets going—that helps reset things. No rushing, no noise, just the simple rhythm of water and a moment to breathe before stepping into everything that’s waiting.

It’s easy to overlook moments like this when life gets busy. But they matter.

In a quiet way they remind you to pause, take it in, and move forward a little more grounded than before.

Slow morning rain. Peaceful pause.

And at times, that’s exactly what the day calls for. 💗✨
