Banana Pudding

About the Recipe

My grandmother’s classic recipe—sweet, creamy, and layered with love.

A family favorite for generations, this banana pudding is smooth, rich, and full of nostalgic flavor. Cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk give it a decadent twist, while layers of bananas and vanilla wafers make it the ultimate comfort dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 1 (3.5 oz) package vanilla instant pudding

  • 1 package cream cheese, room temperature

  • 2 cups (1 pint) whipped whipping cream

  • ~36 vanilla wafers

  • 3 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice

  • Whipped cream, for garnish

Preparation

Instructions:

  1. Prepare pudding according to package directions, using milk.

  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.

  3. Fold pudding and whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.

  4. Chill 5 minutes, then fold in whipped cream.

  5. Spoon 1 cup of mixture into a 2½-quart glass serving bowl.

  6. Line the outer edge with alternating slices of banana and cookies.

  7. Layer pudding, wafers, and bananas—repeat, ending with pudding.

  8. Chill thoroughly. Garnish with crushed wafers and whipped cream before serving.
