✨ This series is an in-between space for sharing behind-the-scenes thoughts and honest reflections.
One of the best parts of this new chapter at Evoke has been rediscovering just how much joy there is in creating again. Painting will always be my love, but it requires long stretches of uninterrupted time—something my schedule hasn’t quite offered lately.
The Hat Bar, though? It’s become the perfect creative outlet. I can design a little, step away to help a customer, come back, add a feather or a charm, and suddenly a whole new personality appears on the brim.
And soon, I’ll be adding another layer of creativity—hand-painted details on the hats themselves. I can’t wait to blend my artwork with the textures, colors, and stories each piece already carries.

I’ve had so much fun building these custom pieces lately—mixing textures, vintage ribbons, dried florals, cards, charms, and even a few unexpected surprises. Every hat tells a story, and I love helping people discover the one that feels like them. A few of these newest creations are available for purchase, and they’d make beautiful Christmas gifts—something personal, meaningful, and uniquely theirs. And for the person who loves experiences more than things, Hat Bar gift certificates are a hit. Designing a hat with the client is half the fun.
Another thing that has me smiling this season: I finally get to blend two pieces of my world in a way that feels natural. For 16 years, Prancing Paws has been my heart project—a dog daycare built on love, trust, and wagging tails. Now, at Evoke, I get to share a little slice of that joy by offering the same treats and toys my daycare dogs adore.
Seeing customers pick up a gift for a friend and something playful for their pup makes me feel a little like both sides of my world are finally under the same roof.
I was delighted when one of our very first of the three guests to walk into the new space on opening day was Blue, a sweet little dog with the softest ears and the biggest personality. She was rewarded with a “Pupkin Spice” treat—and she absolutely LOVED it!

From gourmet holiday dog treats and adorable themed snacks to designer-inspired toys (yes, the Chewy Vuiton bag and the Apawrol Spritz are here!), there’s a little something for every furry family member.
It’s been a busy week—full of creativity, conversations, and the kind of energy that reminds me why I love doing this. It feels good to make again, to build something joyful, and to share pieces of my world in a way that brings others joy too.
Here’s to a season filled with handmade magic, thoughtful gifts, and moments that spark inspiration.
